The necklace and earring set is created to look like a Linden leaf, which was once believed to be the source of prophetic insight for ancient sorcerers. Whether or not this is true, spring is certainly a time when nature goes through upheaval, which forces us humans to reexamine our path. Spring Leaves was created to inspire the wearer with a sense of springtime rebirth and bright green joy. The necklace and earrings are made with a combination of peridot, chromium tourmaline, Tahitian pearls, tanzanite, zavorite, emeralds, and gold. It is believed that peridot strengthens and repairs the physical body, specifically the spleen, heart, pancreas, and liver while easing depression and sorrow caused by a trauma. Chromium tourmaline increases courage and strength while black pearls are representative of wisdom and maturity. Tanzanite can only be found in the Tanga province of Tanzania, Africa and is considered a rare stone due to its small number of natural deposits as well as its unique periwinkle blue color. Zavorite, which is more commonly known as green garnet, is one of the rarest stones in the garnet family and is akin to all things magical. It is believed to be the stone of the little people (fairies and elves); everyone needs a little magic in their lives. Emerald is thought to aid in one's realization of self from within since its color is that of the green earth. The idea of cleaning out old beliefs in order to let in the new is one that emerald is said to encompass. Finally, gold is a stabilizer of the human heart, which can be much needed in spring. This set is made with a combination of 22k gold beads, 14k gold findings, 14k gold -filled wire and 22k gold vermille filigree.
The Box
The box is adorned with a hand sewn combination of emeralds, tanzanite, pearls, green apatite, rubies, sapphires, tourmaline, peridot, zavorite, and a 22k gold roman bee. The box is a home for Spring Leaves as well as a piece of functional art that will hopefully inspire and bring joy to the owner.
The Earrings
The earrings are made with peridot, tourmaline, and green garnet adorned with Tahitian pearl teardrops all wired onto filigree with 14k posts and earbacks.
